My Chemical Romance: Biography and History

The lineup features vocalist Gerard Way, lead guitarist Ray Toro, rhythm guitarist Frank Iero, and bassist Mikey Way. Their theatrical performances and emotionally direct songwriting helped build a devoted following often known as the MCR Army.
The band's landmark albums include Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and The Black Parade. Songs such as “Helena,” “I'm Not Okay (I Promise),” and “Welcome to the Black Parade” remain central to the group's catalog and are often associated with its energetic, communal live shows. After disbanding in 2013, the band announced its return in 2019 with a sold-out Los Angeles comeback show.
